SINT ROC BOULDERING CONTEST 2009 The great Bouldering KO system returns to Arco on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September 2009

Athletes have to solve - i.e. climb - short, intense and highly complex problems created by the route setters. Pure force explosions go hand in hand with delicate balance acts on tiptoes and improbable contortions gripped to microscopic holds. The athletes give it their all, free of all paraphernalia, of ropes and harnesses, while their falls are cushioned by an enormous mattress. The Sint Roc Boulder Contest formula leaves no room for uncertainty: four problems climbed one after the next, after each problem the athlete with the worst result is eliminated, until the best three challenge each other in the final round. The men's competition is scheduled for Saturday 5 September at 21.00. The women's comeptition is scheduled for Sunday 6 September at 14.00.
